Job summary

NPI, a Duravant Company, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical system design for automated sorting equipment. You will own machine-level electrical architecture, from power distribution to control panels, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance across UL, CSA, NEC, IEC and CE standards.

Collaborating with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams, you will drive projects from concept through commissioning, delivering high-speed, efficient industrial systems worldwide.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on PCB design and debugging experience.
• Experience with complex electromechanical and automated systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Familiarity with PLC-based control systems.
• Experience supporting production-ready designs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB designs, and control panel layouts.
• Support electrical and control system designs for automated sorting systems.
• Redesign or replace obsolete or unmaintainable PCB and system components.
• Debug and resolve electrical, PCB, and system-level performance issues.
• Create and maintain assembly instructions, wiring documentation, and technical drawings.
