Job summary

viaPhoton in Naperville, IL, seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to own the electrical design of automation machines and PCBAs, from concept to deployment. You will integrate machine vision, motion control, and safety into enclosures and control systems deployed on the factory floor.

You will validate enclosures to UL508A, NFPA 79, and ISO 13849, and develop real-time computer vision systems for calibration and sensing. This onsite role offers growth and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Motion Controls, or related field.
• 3+ years delivering solutions from concept to deployment.
• Hands-on experience with motion control and sensor integration.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical design of automation machines and PCBAs from concept to deployment.
• Build automation machines integrating machine vision and motion control.
• Validate electrical enclosures for UL508A, NFPA 79, ISO 13849.
• Develop and deploy computer vision systems for real-time applications.
• Collaborate across engineering, operations, and production teams.
