Job summary

NPI, a Duravant company, seeks an Electromechanical Assembly Technician (level III) to join our team in Fort Worth. You will perform advanced electrical and electromechanical assembly tasks for conveyors and automation systems, wiring components and interpreting schematics to support on-time production goals.

The role requires hands-on experience, strong attention to detail, and a proactive, team-focused mindset. On-the-job training and a climate-controlled, fast-paced environment are provided.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate's degree in Electronics or related certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on electrical assembly experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, assembly drawings, and electrical schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire electrical components, connectors, terminals, and contact points using schematics and diagrams.
  • Cut, route, comb, twist, wrap, tie, and attach wires to terminal points per specifications.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble components as needed.
  • Interpret and work from production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts lists, wire lists, sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • Lead 5S activities and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians.

THE POSITIONWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electromechanical Assembly Technician (level III) to join our team!This role is responsible for advanced electrical and electromechanical assembly tasks. This position requiresextensive experience in wiring, troubleshooting, and assembling complex conveyor and automation systemsto lead efforts to support production goals, KPIs, on-time delivery, and mentor junior assemblers. This rolerequires a proactive problem solver with a strong sense of ownership, a passion for continuous learning, andthe ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Assemble and wire electrical components, connectors, terminals, and contact points using schematicsand diagrams.• Cut, route, comb, twist, wrap, tie, and attach wires to terminal points per specifications.• Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble components as needed.• Interpret and work from production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts lists, wire lists, sketches, andverbal instructions.• Perform tasks requiring knowledge of multiple processes, operations, and equipment.• Use fine motor skills to assemble small parts with precision and dexterity.• Lead 5S activities and maintain a clean and organized work area.• Access and follow drawings from computer systems.• Perform work in a safe and healthy manner.• Actively participate in cell meetings and improvement initiatives.• Identify and communicate ideas to improve performance and eliminate waste.• Accurately scan on/off jobs and utilize visual boards to track KPIs.• Display professional conduct with coworkers and customers.• Attend company meetings and participate in kaizen teams.• Mentor and train junior technicians.QUALIFICATIONS• High school diploma or equivalent job experience in similar position is required;• Associate's degree in Electronics or other electrical certifications or license preferred.• Minimum of 3 years hands-on electrical assembly experience.• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, assembly drawings, and electrical schematics.• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and manual dexterity.• Comfortable sitting or standing at a workstation for extended periods.• Willingness to work overtime and adapt to production schedules.• Positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and turning.TOOLS AND TRAINING:• Hand tools provided by NPI.• On-the-job training available.WORK ENVIRONMENT:• Climate-controlled setting.• Fast-paced and collaborative production environment.This job description is intended to outline the general nature and level of work performed.
