Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for power distribution and building electrical projects from 0V to 35kV. Location options include Boise, ID; Honolulu, HI; Virginia Beach, VA; or Huntsville, AL, with potential for other locations.

Responsibilities include leading complex designs, performing detailed electrical analyses, developing contract documents, and mentoring junior staff. Strong knowledge of NEC, UFCs, NFPA, and related standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Review third-party design documents, procurement lists and project plans.
• Develop electrical calculations: load, short circuit, arc flash, voltage drop, etc.
• Develop contract documents including electrical plans and specs; coordinate with owners and clients.
• Mentor entry- and mid-level engineers; provide guidance and training.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations explaining findings and recommendations.
