Job summary

Raytheon in McKinney, TX, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer for factory production support. You will work with engineering, factory management, program management, and operations to troubleshoot CCAs and sub-assemblies, drive root-cause actions, and improve cycle times.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, testing with oscilloscopes and power supplies, and occasional weekend shifts in a first shift (8:00 AM–3:00 PM with 9/80 option).

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Experience with standard electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues with Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), sub-assemblies, and complex systems.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings or electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate test results of complex assemblies and determining root cause of failures.
• Work closely with multiple functions such as manufacturing engineering, factory operations, and quality engineers to develop improvements in areas like yields, test procedures, cycle time, etc.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting systems failing test, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions
• Investigate failure trends, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address systemic issues
• Support troubleshooting and repairs for circuit card assemblies (CCAs), sub-assemblies, systems, and test equipment for programs at McKinney CMC
• Develop and maintain troubleshooting aids, tools, and documentation to support production and test processes
• Work initiatives focused on reducing cycle time, minimizing touch time, and optimizing overall production costs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges in production
• Operate and utilize standard electrical equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, etc.) to support troubleshooting and system
• Occasional weekend work may be required to support factory operations
