Job summary

NorthStar Energy Services seeks a Mechanical Engineer / Project Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team. You will lead mechanical and piping design for energy facilities and drive project scope, schedule, and budget from concept through startup.

The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines, vendor coordination, and field implementation, with strong demand for hands-on problem solving and adherence to codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, including proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
• Preferred, but not required: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Texas, or the ability to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical and piping design deliverables for energy facilities.
• Define scope, schedule, and budget; coordinate procurement and vendor activities.
• Serve as primary technical point of contact among clients, internal disciplines, and third-party partners.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of drawings and cross-discipline deliverables.
• Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and startup.
