Merrick & Company is seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Energy, Manufacturing & Bioprocessing department in Tulsa, OK, with consideration for hybrid work arrangements. Relocation may be considered.

The role requires leadership on projects, detailed electrical design, and client interaction across multiple market sectors. Ideal candidates have 12+ years in electrical engineering, familiarity with NEC/IEEE/ NFPA/IEC, and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of twelve (12) years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in power, energy, oil and gas or other industrial process industries.
• Experience developing one-line drawings, control schematics and wiring diagrams, electrical equipment specifications, power plans, conduit plans, cable schedules, etc.
• Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, IEC, etc.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Excel & Word.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, REVIT or other design software.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college is required.
• PE License required.
• US Citizenship required for client projects.

Responsabilités

• May serve as project lead on a major project and/or several projects of moderate scope with complex features.
• Develop electrical design documents and drawings.
• Analyze and approve the work of others; monitor the work performed by the team.
• Conceptual and detailed design of low voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, motor control systems, PLC/PAC, HMI, process equipment and instrumentation.
• Interact with clients, customers, officials, contractors and others.
• Lead project meetings and make presentations.
• Perform typical electrical calculations including voltage drop, short circuit, coordination studies, arc flash, relay settings, conduit fill, lighting, grounding.
• Develop specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, MCCs.
• Travel to client project sites to support field walk downs and as-built efforts.
• Monitor allocated resources to ensure that the work performed is within project estimates.
• Work with Design/Engineering Managers to ensure project schedule is met and complete documents are provided for each project.
