Job summary

Merrick & Company seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and manage electrical systems for complex facilities. You will perform BIM-driven design, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and deliver robust documentation for construction.

The role requires client interaction, scope validation, and fee proposal preparation. The ideal candidate will have a PE license, 8 years of experience, and proficiency with REVIT/AutoCAD plus NEC/NFPA knowledge.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited electrical/architectural engineering degree.
• 8 years of facility electrical engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
• Proficient in REVIT/AutoCAD and MS Office tools.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEE and electrical calculation software.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for facilities including government and private clients.
• Provide conceptual/detailed design for power distribution, lighting, grounding, and fire/safety systems.
• Prepare calculations, reports, and specifications.
• Meet with clients to validate scope and prepare proposals.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage local design teams.
