Merrick & Company is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for the Energy, Manufacturing & Bioprocessing group to join our team in Ellicott City, MD, among other U.S. offices. The position offers a hybrid work schedule with relocation consideration.

You will lead electrical design, develop drawings, perform critical calculations, and coordinate with clients and multi-disciplinary teams. The role requires 12+ years' experience, a PE license, and an ABET‑accredited degree; US citizenship is

Formación

• Minimum of twelve (12) years of electrical engineering experience in power/industrial sectors.
• Experience developing one-line drawings, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and power plans.
• Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, IEC standards.
• PE license and ABET‑accredited degree required.

Responsabilidades

• May serve as project lead on major projects or several moderately scoped projects.
• Develop electrical design documents and drawings.
• Analyze and approve team work; monitor progress and resources.
• Design low voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, motor control, PLC/PAC, HMI, instrumentation.
• Interact with clients, officials, and contractors; lead project meetings.
• Perform calculations: voltage drop, short circuit, coordination studies, arch flash, conduit fill.
