Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in Power System Studies at the EHV level (345kV+). The role includes leading a team to develop analytical models, mentoring engineers, and delivering complex studies for utility transmission systems.

The ideal candidate will guide project execution, communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams, and ensure QA/QC adherence while advancing engineering standards across projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in modeling and simulation of EHV transmission systems.
• Make EHV study recommendations to influence risk mitigation.
• Communicate EHV study capabilities to clients and internal teams.
• Lead and support the preparation of computer-based models for EHV transmission systems.
• Perform and oversee power system studies including Load Flow, Short Circuit, EMT, and Insulation Coordination.
