Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced EHV (345kV+) Engineering Specialist with 8-10 years of experience to advance our electrical team. The role focuses on upfront planning, design, testing, and commissioning of EHV substations and transmission lines, with opportunities to mentor others and lead complex projects.

The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of EHV systems, including protection & control design and engineering calculations, and will engage with clients to align project

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in EHV planning and design for substations and transmission lines.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHV planning and design activities for substations and transmission lines.
• Develop and apply advanced engineering calculations and analyses.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and project teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Support proposals, scopes, and schedules for projects.
