Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced EHV (345kV+) Engineering Specialist to join our Electrical team. The role requires 8–10 years of hands-on experience in EHV planning, design, testing and commissioning of substations and transmission lines.

You will lead technical efforts, develop engineering calculations, and mentor teammates while coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Hybrid work options and relocation support are available.

Qualifications

8-10 years of experience performing EHV engineering planning and design for substations and transmission lines.
Upfront planning and options evaluation for EHV projects.
Protection & control design and relaying design experience preferred.
PE license (US) preferred or active licensure in process.

Responsibilities

Develop complex engineering deliverables for large projects and perform advanced calculations.
Lead technical guidance on design guides, standards and codes across disciplines.
Coordinate with clients, vendors and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Mentor junior engineers and review team work to ensure QA/QC standards.
