Black & Veatch is seeking a Power System Studies Engineer with 1-4 years’ experience to join our Power System Studies team. The ideal candidate understands transmission system design concepts and analyses and is proficient with key software tools for power system modeling.

You’ll work across projects, perform studies, and support coordination with clients while adhering to schedules and quality requirements in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience in Transmission and System Analysis Studies.
• Understanding of basic Transmission System design concepts and analyses.
• 1 year of experience in Transmission Interconnection Studies, Reactive Power, Short Circuit analyses.
• Experience with system modeling software such as PSS/E/PSLF/PSCAD.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply knowledge to engineering tasks across projects.
• Prepare complex calculations and recommend equipment/materials.
• Coordinate with project leadership and clients; mentor juniors.
• Ensure compliance with budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.
