Job summary

Equinix, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to mentor junior engineers and lead delivery of electrical systems for data center facilities.

You will plan, design, implement, and maintain critical electrical infrastructure, coordinating with design, site operations, construction management, and regional teams. This role requires deep knowledge of power systems and strong governance of engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in electrical system design, operations, maintenance, and project planning focused on datacenter or mission critical delivery.
• Bachelor degree in relevant field (Electrical Engineering) is required.
• Experience with MOP/SOP/EOP review and CAPA processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs for critical electrical activities within defined SLA.
• Assess redundancy impact and mitigate single points of failure during maintenance and switching.
• Provide SME support for critical switching, UPS maintenance bypass sequences, and MV/LV distribution.
• Lead RCA for electrical incidents and drive CAPA closures.
• Mentor junior team members and direct internal/external project teams.
