Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Ohio to lead electrical design for data centers and mission-critical facilities. You will guide the electrical discipline, coordinate with project teams, and support business development and client engagement.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of building electrical design experience, a PE license, and strong skills in power, lighting, and life-safety systems, using AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (Electrical emphasis).
• PE license recognized by the licensing board for the position location (or equivalent).
• At least 10 years in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Strong knowledge of building electrical power, life-safety and management systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical team across data center and other projects.
• Establish client relationships and participate in business development.
• Serve as the electrical discipline lead for mission-critical facilities.
• Coordinate workload to meet schedules and budgets.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with project management.
• Support construction administration activities.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (Electrical emphasis)

10+ years electrical design experience in buildings

Active Professional Engineer (PE) license

Strong knowledge of building power, lighting and life-safety systems
