HDR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Data Center) to lead electrical teams across data-center and mission-critical projects in Columbus, OH. The role drives design, coordination, and client relations, ensuring code compliance and budget adherence. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
Requires Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems.
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software.
Responsibilities
Lead the Electrical team and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams through all project phases for data center and other industrial projects.
Establish and maintain client relationships; participate in business development, proposals, design reviews, and production meetings.
Serve as electrical discipline lead for data center and mission-critical facility projects.
Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
Coordinate workload to deliver work on schedule.
Track project financial performance and coordinate resources to meet budgets and schedules.
Support project reviews with Project Manager and Regional Controller.
Direct electrical engineering staff and mentor junior engineers.
Lead design and coordination of mission-critical electrical infrastructure (MV distribution, service entrances, standby generation, UPS, paralleling switchgear, power monitoring).
Support construction administration activities.
Perform other duties as required.
