KFI Engineers is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and delivery for utilities and central energy projects. You will manage power distribution, medium-voltage systems, and building power/lighting, while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams from concept through commissioning.

The role requires strong client relationships, deep knowledge of NEC/NFPA/NESC/IEEE standards, and the ability to support business development through proposals and client meetings.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• Professional Engineering registration or willingness to pursue this designation.
• Proficiency in the design of electrical utility generation and distribution systems.
• Demonstrated experience in Process, Instrumentation, and Controls.
• Comprehensive understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, Civil and Structural engineering practices.
• In-depth knowledge of NEC, NFPA, NESC, ANSI/IEEE, etc.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
• Travel: up to 25% domestic travel.

Responsabilidades

• Designs and supports power distribution systems (primary requirement).
• Designs medium-voltage and 480V power systems for industrial/utilities/buildings.
• Designs building power and lighting systems including UPS, generators, and protection systems.
• Performs power system studies and protective device coordination.
• Prepares engineering documents and vendor submittals.
• Reviews contractor submittals and equipment selections.
• Creates project plans, schedules, labor and cost estimates.
• Coordinates with departments, subcontractors, and customers.
• Provides construction observation, startup and commissioning support.
