Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience designing building systems.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred or obtainable within a reasonable timeframe.
• Experience designing power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, and low-voltage systems for commercial or institutional facilities.
• Knowledge of NEC, energy codes, and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and coordination of electrical systems for new construction, renovation, and tenant improvement projects.
• Develop construction documents for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
• Perform and review electrical engineering calculations, analyses, and technical studies.
• Coordinate designs with architects, mechanical and structural engineers, contractors, and owners.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination.
• Review RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals during construction.
• Support QA/QC efforts across project deliverables.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to proposals.
