Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Property & Buildings team in Dallas, TX, with flexibility for Austin, TX. You will design electrical systems for a range of building types, prepare docs, and perform detailed calculations while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience, NEC knowledge, Revit/AutoCAD proficiency, and an EIT or licensure path. A collaborative, safety‑focused professional mindset is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or architectural engineering or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of electrical building systems design experience.
• Knowledge of NEC codes and energy codes; Revit/AutoCAD experience.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design for new construction, renovation, and tenant improvements.
• Prepare construction documents for power, lighting, fire alarm, telecom, and low-voltage systems.
• Develop calculations: load, sizing, short-circuit, voltage drop, photometrics.
• Coordinate with architects and engineers using BIM tools.
• Support project managers with schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
