Job summary

WSP in Dallas, Texas is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Property & Buildings Team. The role focuses on healthcare facility design and other complex building sectors, delivering high-quality electrical systems from concept through construction.

You will lead multidisciplinary projects and coordinate with adjacent engineering teams to provide integrated solutions. You will mentor junior staff, ensure code compliance, and contribute to client development within the healthcare market

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering design experience for building systems.
• Healthcare facility design experience and knowledge of relevant codes.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, AGi32 or similar software.
• Strong communication, leadership and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design across healthcare and complex building projects.
• Oversee power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding and LV systems.
• Act as technical lead and client point of contact through project lifecycle.
• Manage projects from concept through construction administration and close-out.
• Ensure compliance with codes, NFPA, NEC, and healthcare standards.
• Coordinate with mechanical, architectural and other consultants.
• Support business development and client relationships.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
• Participate in field investigations and construction-phase services.
