Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for building projects, preparing plans and specifications, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. The role emphasizes life-safety systems, power distribution, and AHJ interactions.

The candidate should have extensive experience in commercial/industrial facilities, strong client relations, and proficiency with REVIT, SKM, ETAP, and related design tools.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience designing electrical and life-safety systems for commercial/industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and ANSI/EIA/TIA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Create building electrical plans and specifications.
• Coordinate cross-discipline design activities across teams.
• Perform site surveys and develop analysis reports.
• Prepare project documentation including layouts, one-line diagrams, and lighting plans.
• Provide construction administration services to contractors.
• Interact with Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
• Mentor junior design staff.
• Work with management to track and achieve project goals.
