Job summary

SSOE is seeking a mid-to-senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical systems design for automotive and industrial facilities. You will serve as the Engineer of Record and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.

The role encompasses developing power distribution from utility to facility, performing studies, and mentoring junior engineers. Hybrid or fully remote options are available, with competitive salary and comprehensive benefits for

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure via reciprocity.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing facilities; 10+ for senior level.
• Experience in automotive, battery manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, consumer products, food & beverage, or similar facilities.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IBC and applicable industrial standards.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong client-facing communication and project leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of electrical systems for automotive and industrial facilities.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and technical lead on projects of varying size and complexity.
• Develop power distribution from utility service through facility networks.
• Prepare and review one-line diagrams, power plans, equipment layouts, cable schedules, and lighting.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, controls, structural, civil and architectural teams.
• Support facility expansion, modernization, and greenfield projects.
• Interface with clients to understand requirements and provide recommendations.
• Lead design reviews, quality reviews and constructability assessments.
