• Support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability of electrical systems associated with pipeline assets.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance for electrical project installations.
• Develop, review, and support electrical specifications, engineering standards, and technical requirements.
• Support medium-voltage power systems and company-owned substations.
• Provide technical expertise in power system modeling, protective relaying, power protection, substation design, and electrical power system design.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and develop practical technical solutions for field and operational stakeholders.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to field technicians and electrical specialists.
• Serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electrical power systems.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and support their technical development.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, project, and field teams to resolve electrical challenges.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support electrical power systems and pipeline operations within the Liquids Pipeline Unit. This position will support liquid pipeline assets across the United States and serve as a senior technical resource for electrical operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and project installations.

The engineering team consists of six engineers located across Duluth, Edina, Indiana, and Houston. Each engineer is assigned a geographic section of pipeline assets and works closely with a complementary 10-person Canadian engineering team to support cross-border operations.

This is a senior-level individual contributor role with no direct reports. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, provide technical guidance to field personnel, and mentor junior engineers.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
• Candidates with backgrounds in utilities or power generation will also be considered.

Technical Environment

The role primarily supports electrical systems operating in the 5 kV to 66 kV range, with some exposure to higher utility-supplied voltages.
