TPI Global Solutions seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Operations Engineering team, supporting liquids pipeline assets nationwide, with a focus on field operations.
This senior role emphasizes hands-on power systems, medium-voltage equipment, substations, protection/relaying, and electrical troubleshooting, including mentoring field personnel.
Preferred locations include Superior, WI or Duluth, MN, with ~10–15% travel and ASAP interview process.
Qualifications
- Minimum senior electrical engineer with operations experience.
- Strong background in power systems and medium-voltage equipment.
- Experience with substations, protection/relaying, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7/365 technical support for electrical issues
- Support operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability
- Provide oversight for electrical project installations
- Support medium-voltage power systems and substations
- Develop and support electrical specifications, standards, and engineering practices
- Provide expertise in power system modeling, protective relaying, power protection, and substation design
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and develop practical technical solutions
- Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance to field technicians and specialists
- Mentor and coach junior engineers
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams across the U.S. and Canada
