Overview

Electrical Engineer – Senior – Houston, TX or Tulsa, OK

As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll lead the design and optimization of electrical systems that power essential infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. You’ll apply your technical expertise to integrate advanced technologies, including automation, real‑time monitoring, and energy storage, driving efficiency and innovation across operations. A key part of the role is ensuring safety through arc‑flash mitigation, fault‑detection systems, and rigorous compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.

You’ll also manage complex projects from concept to completion, aligning engineering solutions with business goals and timelines. This high‑impact role leverages your leadership and problem‑solving skills to directly contribute to operational reliability, safety, and strategic growth.

Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities.
  • Champion the integration of advanced technologies including automation, real‑time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs.
  • Implement robust safety measures such as arc‑flash mitigation and fault‑detection systems to protect personnel and ensure infrastructure reliability.
  • Provide technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for both new construction and upgrades to existing facilities.
  • Manage complex engineering projects from concept to completion ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across electrical systems and project execution.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet internal and external customer needs.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior engineers, fostering technical growth, knowledge sharing, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Years of Experience
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and eight (8) years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or related industry.
  • Preferred: PE License.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in electrical engineering.

  • Working knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.).
  • Preferred: Experience with PLCs.
  • Preferred: Project Management experience.
  • Preferred: Experience in Preliminary‑Front End Engineering and Design (Pre‑FEED), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), or EPC of small to medium facility projects.
  • Preferred: Proficiency in designing and implementing instrumentation systems, including PLCs and HMI systems.
