Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Madison, WI, seeks a Senior Electrical Designer to lead design efforts as a project manager or lead designer for moderate to complex projects. You will work with engineers and clients to provide project direction, engineering solutions, and advice while mentoring staff.

The role involves coordinating scheduling, budgets, billing, and ensuring design quality and code compliance across design and construction phases. Travel up to 20% and no sponsorship.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 7+ years in building design consulting or related field.
• Experience leading electrical design on medium-to-large projects.
• Familiarity with IES standards and NFPA references.

Responsibilities

• Lead project design efforts and coordinate with engineers and clients.
• Prepare schedules, budgets, and fee calculations for proposals.
• Ensure code compliance and quality across design and construction phases.
• Mentor staff and develop client relationships.
• Manage change orders, documentation, and billing projections.
