Job summary

IMEG Corp. in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design as a project manager or lead engineer for moderate to complex building projects. This role supports delivery of larger, high-complexity projects with limited senior staff, overseeing electrical systems and client relations.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to energy-efficient designs aligned with industry standards. A hybrid work schedule is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 7+ years in the building design consulting industry (8 preferred).
• Knowledge of IES standards and NFPA/FGI references.
• Master Specification editing; eSPECS proficiency.
• Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu.
• Ability to mentor, train, motivate, and lead others.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical-system analysis and develop designs, specifications, and calculations.
• Perform site assessments and prepare detailed analyses and reports.
• Gather project requirements and build client relationships.
• Conduct in-process design reviews and apply QA to designs and documents.
• Train, mentor, and motivate staff.
• Provide technical assistance to resolve field issues with limited senior staff support.
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
