Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Lead Electrical Designer to support EPC project design for power generation. You will manage a design team, develop electrical raceway systems, and coordinate with disciplines, engineering and construction throughout the project life cycle.

Based in multiple US offices, this full-time role emphasizes constructability, safety and cost-effective, innovative solutions. Strong 3D design skills (SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD or MicroStation) and NEC experience are required.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in electrical design.
• Power generation experience preferred.
• Experience using NEC and 3D design tools.

Responsibilities

• Design cable tray, grounding and lighting systems from concept to completion.
• Perform calculations to size conduits and cable tray systems according to NEC requirements.
• Routes electrical cables in a 3D environment to generate a cable schedule.
• Layout electrical equipment in electrical buildings and develop 3D models.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in project meetings.
