Job summary

ArchKey Solutions seeks an Engineering Design Lead to guide a team delivering electrical drawings, 3D models, and construction documents for complex installations, aligned with NEC and company standards. This role supports Design/Build and large hyper-scale nationwide projects, focusing on safety and constructability.

You will review documents, lead value engineering, mentor engineers and designers, and coordinate with field electricians to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; PE license preferred.
• 12 years of design engineering experience or 8 years with PE and leadership.
• Extensive power design experience (lighting, circuiting, panel schedules, load calcs).
• Strong NEC knowledge and building code familiarity.
• Proven ability to read and interpret contracts, plans, and specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small team of engineers and designers to develop detailed electrical drawings, 3D models, and construction documents.
• Develop, review, and approve calculations and reports including arc flash, short circuit, and duct bank ampacity.
• Serve as primary engineering authority, providing direction, constructability guidance, and risk mitigation.
• Review designs for code compliance and standards; lead outside documentation reviews and value engineering.
• Mentor and develop engineers and designers; support licensure and knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate with field electricians and project managers to ensure schedule and budget alignment.
