Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC is seeking an Engineering Design Lead to provide technical and people leadership for a team delivering electrical drawings, 3D models, and construction documents for complex installations.

The role focuses on safety, code compliance, constructibility, and alignment with project goals across Design/Build and large hyper-scale projects. Strong leadership and deep NEC knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 12 years of applicable design engineering experience or 8 years with PE license and leadership.
Extensive experience in facilities power design and lighting, with NEC knowledge.
Experience in healthcare, heavy industrial, or data center projects is desirable.
Strong reading of contracts, plans, and specifications with NEC knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead a small team of engineers and designers to produce permit drawings and 3D models.
Develop and review engineering calculations including arc flash and load calculations.
Provide technical direction, constructability guidance, and risk mitigation.
Review designs for code compliance and company standards.
Participate in value engineering, scope development, and constructability planning.
Mentor Electrical Engineers and Designers and support licensure development.
Coordinate with field electricians and support project scheduling and budgeting.
Maintain QA/QC procedures and drive continuous improvement.
