Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC is seeking an Engineering Design Lead to provide technical and people leadership for a team delivering high-quality electrical drawings, 3D models, and construction documents for complex installations. The role combines advanced engineering with team leadership and construction-focused problem solving to ensure safe, code-compliant designs.

Ideal candidates have deep NEC knowledge, strong communication, and a track record of mentoring designers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
12+ years of design engineering experience or 8 years with PE and leadership experience.
Extensive power design experience for facilities including lighting, receptacles, panel schedules and load calcs.
Strong knowledge of NEC and applicable building codes; leadership and mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers and designers delivering electrical drawings, 3D models, and construction documents.
Develop and review engineering calculations, studies, and reports (arc flash, short circuit, etc.).
Provide technical direction, constructability guidance, and risk mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with field electricians and support project estimating, scheduling, and budgeting.
Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and QA/QC procedures; mentor staff and drive process improvements.
