McM Engineering II, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineering Manager to lead a team of electrical design engineers focused on low and medium-voltage switchgear and power distribution systems.

You will ensure quality, technical excellence, and on-time delivery while fostering collaboration and a high-performance culture. The role serves as a primary technical resource for complex projects, escalations, and cross-functional coordination with project managers, sales, and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.
• Experience reading, interpreting contracts, specs, drawings, and technical docs.
• 5+ years in electrical switchgear or power distribution system design.
• 2+ years leading engineering teams or senior/lead engineer roles.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and common productivity software.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a design engineering team across multiple projects.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide guidance on technical challenges and customer specifications.
• Drive standardization, best practices, and tool/process improvements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Sales, Mechanical Design, and Manufacturing.
