Job summary

Mission Critical Group (MCG) seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design of low- and medium-voltage power systems for custom distribution and control products, optimizing cycle times and costs. You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing and estimating teams, ensure UL compliance, and drive scalable, compliant solutions for mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience leading complex electrical projects from concept through production.
• Strong knowledge of UL standards and regional utility codes.
• Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Schneider) and protective relays.
• Proficiency with electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, E-Plan, Promis-e).

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical designs for low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems and motor control centers.
• Provide guidance on material selection, system architecture, and design concepts to ensure product integrity.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, and Estimating for manufacturability and cost control.
• Establish and improve electrical design processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering technical growth.
• Support manufacturing and field service with troubleshooting and testing.
• Maintain compliance with UL standards and customer specifications.
• Read customer job specs and one-line diagrams to establish design criteria.
