Job summary

Join AECOM as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Water/Wastewater/Desalination) to contribute to electrical design for complex water treatment projects across global offices. You will develop single line diagrams, load schedules, and control philosophies, lead technical deliverables, and mentor junior engineers.

We seek 6–10 years of experience, a degree in Electrical Engineering, and hands-on use of ETAP/SKM/Amtech.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in wastewater/water industry.
• Design (Concept, FEED and Detail Design) of Electrical Distribution Systems for Low and High Voltage.
• Working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes (pumping stations, desalination).
• Prepare Design Basis, Load list, Cable schedule, Interconnection Schedule, SLDs and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input into electrical design deliverables and manage time/budgets to milestones.
• Lead and produce technical deliverables: Single Line Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams, Load Schedules, MCC specs, control philosophies.
• Work independently with minimal guidance and mentor juniors.
• Support bid proposals with electrical design expertise.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams to deliver integrated designs.
• Adhere to QA standards and review own and others’ work.
• Lead design teams to high-quality deliverables within codes and standards.
