Job summary

AECOM’s Water Division is seeking a senior Water Design-Build Project Manager to lead complex water and wastewater projects in a design-build environment. You will collaborate with engineering, construction, and procurement teams to deliver plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems across the southeastern United States.

You will manage scope, schedule, and budget, participate in cost control and forecasting, and support proposals and pricing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Sanitary, Chemical Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 8+ years delivering water/wastewater projects using design-build methods or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license for employment travel.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage the delivery of design-build water and wastewater projects from planning through construction.
• Coordinate and oversee multi-discipline design teams to align scope, schedule, and budget.
• Assist with procurement of process equipment and subcontractors, including bid evaluations and negotiations.
• Contribute to project scheduling, cost control, and forecasting (EAC).
• Participate in constructability reviews, value engineering, and risk discussions.
• Support design-build pursuits with proposals, pricing strategies, and technical approaches.
• Collaborate with construction teams for field coordination and client communications.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Travel to project sites and other AECOM offices as needed.
