AECOM's Water business line in Southern California seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Designer to support electrical design and BIM modeling for water treatment, wastewater facilities, pump stations, and conveyance systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, or related field; 6+ years of electrical design/drafting for infrastructure, industrial, municipal, or water/wastewater projects.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License and ability to satisfy AECOM motor vehicle requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical design drawings, BIM models, and construction documents using Revit, AutoCAD, and related software.
• Create electrical site plans, conduit plans, equipment layouts, one-line diagrams, power and lighting plans, schedules, and installation details for construction.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers and multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, mechanical, process, I&C, architectural).
• Participate in BIM coordination, clash detection, and design coordination meetings.
• Produce construction-level deliverables in line with client and AECOM standards and applicable codes.
• Support project managers with delivery, document control, and QA/QC.
• Maintain drawing registers, BIM models, and documentation in ProjectWise or equivalent.
• Support electrical design from concept through final design, bidding, construction, and as‑built documentation; perform field verification as needed.
• Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on drafting standards and BIM workflows.
