AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Electrical Designer in Southern California to support electrical design and BIM coordination for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include developing electrical drawings, site plans, and BIM models for treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, or related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of electrical design and drafting experience supporting infrastructure, industrial, municipal, or water/wastewater projects.

Aufgaben

• Prepare electrical design drawings, BIM models, and construction documents using Revit, AutoCAD, and other approved software.
• Prepare electrical site plans, conduit plans, equipment layouts, one-line diagrams, power and lighting plans, schedules, and installation details.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers and multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, mechanical, process, instrumentation and controls, and architectural disciplines.
• Participate in BIM coordination, model reviews, clash detection, and design coordination meetings.
• Produce construction-level deliverables per client and AECOM standards and applicable codes.
• Assist project managers with project delivery, document control, and quality assurance.
• Maintain drawing registers, BIM models, and project documentation using ProjectWise or similar systems.
• Support electrical design from conceptual planning through final design, bidding, construction, and as-built documentation.
• Perform field verification and support construction-phase services as required.
• Mentor junior designers and provide technical guidance on drafting standards and BIM workflows.
