Job summary

AECOM seeks an Instrumentation & Control Engineer (Water/Wastewater/Desalination). The role supports cross-office projects and develops expertise in I&C, PLCs and SCADA while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Based in a hybrid setting, you will engage in design, commissioning, and documentation, mentoring junior staff and delivering high-quality results for global clients.

Qualifications

• B.E./M.Tech in Instrumentation & Control from a recognized university.
• Professional registration or licensure in home office country or pursuing it.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines following design standards.
• 2–6 years of experience in the water/wastewater industry.
• Good English communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop design reports, specifications, plans, and client deliverables for I&C and SCADA systems.
• Define interface requirements for valves, drives, and packaged systems; program PLCs and HMIs.
• Participate in consulting, design, construction, commissioning, and documentation.
• Coordinate SCADA requirements with civil, structural, architectural, process mechanics, HVAC, and electrical teams.
• Collaborate with contractors to resolve issues during construction; mentor junior engineers.
• Produce concise, high-quality technical documentation in English.
