Job summary

RTX in Louisville, KY is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer II to support shipboard effectors hardware, including CCAs, on a multi-disciplinary team. The role focuses on analyzing and verifying complex electrical subsystems and collaborating across Operations, Supply Chain, QA, and other engineering groups.

The ideal candidate will perform analog/digital circuit analysis, root-cause investigations, and participate in design updates while traveling to suppliers as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degree with 3+ years electronics coursework, laboratory, or projects.
• Ability to obtain US security clearance; US citizenship required.
• Master's in Electrical/Electronics/CS or related STEM degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot hardware and process issues down to CCA and component levels.
• Resolve issues on production lines and in testing (including suppliers).
• Perform failure analysis/root cause and corrective actions.
• Perform analog and digital circuit analysis and model electrical signals.
• Identify and instantiate circuit card and subassembly design updates.
