Applied Engineering is seeking a driven Electrical Design Engineer to join our remote-capable team. You will lead design and validation for main subsystems, translate requirements into robust electrical designs, and own schematics, BOMs, and calculations.

You will collaborate across mechanical, systems, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams, mentor junior engineers, support project planning, and drive design reviews to deliver value for customers across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of industrial experience in electrical design or electromechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, conversion, monitoring, controls, and system integration.
• Experience designing specifications for switchgear, switchboards, transfer switches, loadbanks, and generators.
• Experience selecting and validating electrical components using NEC, UL, and industry derating criteria.
• Proficiency with design documentation, reviews, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for electrical power solutions.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% within the USA.
