Applied Engineering is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for a remote role. You will lead electrical design and validation across major subsystems, translating requirements into robust designs and owning schematics, BOMs, and specifications.

You will drive reviews, prototypes, testing, and troubleshooting while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering and about 5+ years in electrical design or electromechanical systems, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• ~5+ years of industrial experience in electrical design or electromechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, conversion, monitoring, controls, and system integration.
• Experience designing specifications for switchgear, switchboards, transfer switches, loadbanks, and generators.
• Experience with NEC, UL, and industry derating criteria.

Responsabilités

• Lead electrical design and validation for major subsystems and product areas.
• Translate system requirements into practical, robust electrical designs.
• Own schematics, drawings, calculations, specifications, and bills of material.
• Drive design reviews, trade studies, prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with mechanical, systems, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and project teams.
• Mentor early-career engineers and reinforce electrical design standards.
