General Mills is seeking a Senior Electrical & Controls Capital Senior Engineer to lead electrical and controls aspects of major capital projects across NA manufacturing. You will coordinate with project managers, plant teams, and external partners to deliver safe, reliable, and maintainable solutions.

The role emphasizes technical decision-making, startup readiness, and maintaining alignment with plant standards and corporate requirements, while traveling 50% on average as projects demand.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to travel 50%.
• Strong technical leadership in a collaborative environment.
• Experience in plant operations and industrial environments.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, and automation.
• Ability to coordinate across technical, operational, and project-management teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide project management leadership on capital project installations with stakeholders.
• Lead electrical & controls design, installation, startup readiness and system performance improvements.
• Coordinate design work with external engineering firms, system integrators and contractors.
• Ensure technical solutions align with plant standards and safety requirements.
• Support startup strategies, handoffs, and shutdown planning as needed.
• Collaborate across plant operations, maintenance, IT and project teams to optimize value.
• Review and coordinate design work and ensure maintainability.
• Travel as required (approx. 25%–100%), including extended time over weekends/holidays.
