Job summary

General Mills Albuquerque plant is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to execute capital projects across the site, from scope and design to installation and start-up. You will collaborate with R&D, Quality and Operations, driving improvements and cost savings.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in capital management within manufacturing, strong leadership, and a proven ability to manage multiple large projects with Vendors and Contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent with PM experience.
• 3+ years of capital management in continuous manufacturing.
• Knowledge of capital planning and funding processes.
• Ability to develop budgets and funding docs.
• Strong leadership, analytics, problem solving and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site capital projects including scope, cost, schedule and startup.
• Develop system designs and equipment sizing for projects.
• Coordinate procurement, installation and commissioning.
• Coach and mentor engineers and technicians.
• Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Manage vendors, contractors and external firms.
• Support annual capital planning and budgeting processes.
• Ensure adherence to GMPs and food manufacturing standards.
