Job summary

General Mills, Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical & Controls Capital Senior Engineer to provide leadership for corporate-led capital projects with primary scope in electrical, controls, and automation.

The role supports NA manufacturing platforms, partners with plant teams and external resources, and is remote eligible. The position emphasizes translating business needs into practical electrical solutions, driving technical decisions, and ensuring safe, reliable project delivery across multiple

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field with relevant experience
• 7–10 years of relevant experience
• Ability to travel ~50%
• Strong technical leadership and collaboration skills
• Experience with capital projects from scope through startup
• Familiarity with electrical, controls, instrumentation, and automation systems
• PMP certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide project management leadership on capital project installations
• Deliver Electrical & Controls technical leadership throughout the project life cycle
• Lead or support scope development, design reviews, and execution across sites
• Coordinate with project teams, IT, operations, and vendors
• Ensure safe, reliable, and maintainable electrical/controls solutions
• Support startup readiness, commissioning, and handoff requirements
• Maintain design documentation and lessons learned
