Job summary

General Mills in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer II to provide technical leadership for electrical and control systems across the plant. You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering and vendors to improve equipment performance and protect production uptime.

You will own the plant controls strategy, lead capital projects, and drive improvements using data and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Computer Engineering or related field, or extensive manufacturing experience.
• 7+ years of related manufacturing/industrial controls experience.
• Experience with plant manufacturing systems and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide plant electrical and controls architecture and standards.
• Troubleshoot PLC code, wiring, drives, and control-system hardware.
• Manage electrical and controls capital projects end-to-end.
• Develop and implement obsolescence management and continuous improvements.
• Provide after-hours support when required.
