Job summary
General Mills in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer II to provide technical leadership for electrical, controls, and information systems supporting safe, reliable manufacturing at the plant. You will own the plant controls strategy, guide capital projects, and drive improvements in safety, quality and uptime.
The role partners with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, R&D, and vendors to improve equipment performance and production efficiency.
Qualifications
- ABET‑accredited degree or extensive relevant technical experience.
- 7+ years in manufacturing, industrial, controls or electrical engineering.
- Experience with plant systems and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and own plant electrical and controls architecture and standards.
- Provide troubleshooting for PLCs, wiring, drives, and control systems.
- Guide capital projects from feasibility to handoff and startup.
- Develop maintenance strategies and obsolescence plans.
- Mentor and develop technical capability in plant resources.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and vendors.
