Job summary

Cogentanalytics is seeking an Electrical Construction Estimator to study plans, develop detailed cost estimates, and manage vendor bids for competitive proposals. You will read specs, perform takeoffs, and prepare BOMs while coordinating with engineers and project managers to finalize bids.

Strong experience in Accubid/LiveCount, reading construction drawings, and knowledge of electrical codes is required. 4+ years in this role are preferred, with on-site responsibilities in the Burlington, NC

Qualifications

• Assembling and interpreting project specs and drawings for electrical scope.
• Experience with bid preparation, RFI processes, and cost development.
• Ability to read multiple trade drawings and apply codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Study, evaluate and understand project plans, designs and specifications.
• Generate estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors; delegate when appropriate.
• Obtain multiple bids from vendors and subcontractors; assist in contract negotiations.
• Support Project Managers by estimating Change Orders during downtime.
