Job summary

Cogentanalytics is seeking a Preconstruction Coordinator/Estimator to study project plans, evaluate specs, and prepare competitive electrical bids. You will read drawings, develop takeoffs, estimate labor, materials and equipment, obtain vendor bids, and support project managers with timely change orders when needed.

This role interfaces with clients, engineers and field teams to ensure bid accuracy and constructability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an Electrical Construction Estimator
• Residential & Commercial experience a plus
• Proficiency with Accubid Enterprise & LiveCount Plan Viewer
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

Responsibilities

• Study project plans, designs and specs to understand scope
• Develop itemized costs and takeoffs for estimates
• Obtain multiple bids from vendors/subcontractors
• Assist with change orders and clarifications during project execution
• Coordinate with engineers on BIM layouts
• Prepare bid plans and communicate with clients/teams
