Job summary

Cogentanalytics is seeking a Preconstruction Coordinator / Electrical Estimator to study drawings, specifications and project plans. You will prepare itemized costs, obtain bids and help craft competitive electrical proposals for both residential and commercial projects.

In this role you will read specs, coordinate with BIM layouts, use Accubid Enterprise and LiveCount Plan Viewer, and support PMs during crunch times, including change order estimations.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years of experience as an Electrical Construction Estimator.
• Residential & commercial experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend specifications and drawings for electrical needs.
• Develop itemized costs using Accubid Enterprise and LiveCount Plan Viewer.
• Estimate equipment, labor, materials and subcontractor costs.
• Create BOM letters to obtain supplier quotes.
• Navigate plan room sites to download revised bid docs and addenda.
• Support PMs with change orders during crunch times.
• Mark-up drawings with notes for RFIs and estimates.
