Job summary
Edgewater Technical Associates seeks an Electrical Cognizant System Engineer/Technical Authority for the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The role oversees configuration management, system health assessments, and design changes to ensure operability and safety across plant systems.
The successful candidate has a minimum of 10 years of experience, with electrical engineering expertise and knowledge of electromagnetics, ESD, and lightning protection.
Qualifications
- ABET accredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years direct experience.
- Knowledge of electrical systems with emphasis on one or more of: manufacturing equipment, industrial electrical equipment, facility electrical systems, electromagnetics, ESD, lightning protection.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate configuration management activities; assess system health and performance; provide technical responsibility for operability and maintenance of plant systems.
- Work with Configuration Management program for assigned systems.
- Prepare configuration control/design change packages; evaluate impact of changes to safety bases; perform troubleshooting and improvements.
- Apply systems/ equipment expertise to resolve issues with related disciplines.
